Clinical Medical Assistant Program
This program prepares medical assistant students to perform patient clinical skills in the medical office setting. Students perform clinical procedures including administering medications, assisting with minor surgery, performing an electrocardiogram, obtaining laboratory specimens for testing, educating patients, and maintaining clinical equipment in an ambulatory care setting. Medical assistants perform routine clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, and optometrists running smoothly. This class aslo provides First Aid, CPR and AED cetification.
Total course content hours - 300 hours (140 content hours and 160 externship hours) Fee: $2,899.00 (Textbooks and externships are included)
Tuesday and Thursday evenings and 6 Saturdays

This course requires a high school diploma or GED certification to enroll. All technicial certification program applicants should also have taken math and science classes in high school.Payment must be made at the time of registration. There is no financial aid available at this time.
