Ever observe different types of photography and ask, why or how?  This new course will develop your sense of composition, depth, content placement and some of the basic rules of thirds and fourths.  The class, led by Bruce Sumner, will discuss lens elements, shutter speed, and how to achieve the  artistic result you want.  Each student will be required to take pictures for class discussion and critique in a comfortable setting.

The Grotesque 10: Amazing Architectrual Sculpture from 10 American Colleges and Universities

Matthew Duman has embarked on a “grotesque safari”, traveling ten schools around the country to photograph the grotesques and gargoyles roosting on their academic buildings. This sculpture makes its home within a style of architecture known as Collegiate Gothic which was popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Matt presents his findings in a lecture illustrated with his original photography from ten schools, including: Bryn Mawr College, Princeton University, Duke, Yale and Trinity College in Hartford CT.

Fixing Problems in Retirement

This course will focus on educating students on the risks, considerations, and topics needing to be accounted for in creating, planning and writing their own written retirement financial plan.  Students will uncover the need to plan for Health Care Shocks and the  impact it has on individual retirement planning.  Robert Craft of Sentinel Assist Management will educate students to understand their Social Security Benefits, future spending needs, understanding the tax benefits/risks of their asset designation and the effect their future cash flow income needs.
